How can you help?
Can you donate 1 hour a month?​

The Elgin Food Bank can use your help in various positions. Do you live outside of Elgin then perhaps you can call one of sponsors to see if they need help.
The next time you make a trip to the grocery store you can purchase 1 or 2 items and place them in the donation box. In Elgin you can donate to the Elgin Food Bank at Gordanier Freshmart. Just ask the cashier for assistance.
Look in your cupboards and see what non perishable products you can donate to the Elgin Food Bank or your local food bank. Please check the expiration date.
Do you have a jar full of pennies, why not donate it to the Elgin Food Bank and show your support.

Donating them is a great idea and you will be helping someone at the same time.
Join the Rideau Lakes Community Garden Projects sponsored in part by the Country Roads Community Health Centre. Fresh vegetables is the key to good health. (see community projects)
Can you help a neighbor by providing a hot or cold meal at least once a day. Many seniors and single people on fixed incomes can't afford to eat or eat properly and nutritiously. If you can please call us to register.
